I think using the X360emu driver pretty much makes your system always recognize your controller as a X360 pad for all games. For exmaple, Spider-Man games just don't work so well with kb+mouse, pretty much any arcade-action style or fighting game begs for a gamepad. Hehe I realize this might make me seem self-contradictory on the whole gamepad versus kb+mouse argument but I just believe that certain control schemes work for some games better than others.

It really is pathetic of MS to have done things this way forcing us to resort to alternate (somewhat sketchy) methods.Īnyway, I tested the driver with Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Gears of War and it works like a charm. I just wanted to be as detailed as possible so I don't skip any important steps.

The instructions definitely make it seem more complex than it really is. It seems tedious but I just have a shortcut on the desktop.

Yeah, if you disconnect the PS3 controller or reboot you need to 'reactivate' it with the ps3sixaxis_en.exe. :DĪlthough I'd probably use the PS3 controller anyways just because I like it better. The game I use it for for trying is Crysis 2 and I'm using Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 圆4.

I changed the button numbers and the Analog Right x/-x and y/-y, still nothing happens different. ini file, but the outcome keeps remaining. The right analog stick has issues too, AL gives outcome Up, AR gives outcome Down, AUp gives outcome Left and ADown gives outcome. I installed it like written and it works for some part.Īll the functions are pressent, but the buttons Y gives outcome B, B gives outcome A and so on. I already have a gamepad, so I downloaded an emulator. A lot of new games requier the Xbox 360 gamepad.
